Naples 2027
The Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup Match is scheduled to begin in Naples on July 10, 2027, with the concluding races expected over the weekend of July 17–18, 2027.
Racing will take place in the Bay of Naples, with Mount Vesuvius forming the backdrop. The main event infrastructure will extend across the Naples waterfront, including the Race Village along Viale Francesco Caracciolo and team facilities and fan areas in Bagnoli.
Exact traffic restrictions, spectator access, race-day road closures and maritime regulations may change as the event approaches. For that reason, transportation during America’s Cup should be planned around the official race-day logistics rather than treated as a normal sightseeing day.

Arrivals and departures
Arriving in Naples during one of the largest international sporting events ever hosted on the city’s waterfront is not the ideal time to improvise ground transportation.
We can arrange a private Naples airport transfer from Naples International Airport directly to your hotel, apartment, villa, marina or other accommodation.
Your pickup can be coordinated around your flight details and group requirements, with the appropriate private vehicle selected according to the number of travelers and luggage.
Airport transportation can also be combined with onward travel to destinations outside Naples, including Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi, Ravello and other destinations in Campania.
Your return journey can be arranged around your flight rather than around the end of the racing program.
Race-day congestion, waterfront restrictions and increased traffic should be taken into consideration when planning airport departures during America’s Cup week. We recommend allowing significantly more flexibility than you would during an ordinary stay in Naples.
From Rome and other Italian cities
Many visitors will reach Naples from Rome by high-speed train, making Napoli Centrale one of the most important arrival points during the event.
A private driver can meet you at the station and take you directly to your hotel or accommodation, eliminating the need to manage luggage and local transportation during a particularly busy period.
Train station pickup can also connect directly with a sightseeing itinerary if your hotel check-in is later in the day.
For example, travelers arriving in the morning can combine transportation with a private Naples experience before continuing to their hotel.
Event logistics
The America’s Cup will transform significant parts of the Naples waterfront. Standard transportation patterns should therefore not be assumed during race days.
We can organize private transportation for America’s Cup spectators around your accommodation, expected race schedule and the access rules in place for that particular day.
Depending on official road restrictions, private vehicles may need to use the closest practical drop-off and pickup point rather than reaching the entrance of a spectator area directly.
This is particularly relevant for guests staying outside central Naples or in areas such as Sorrento, the Amalfi Coast or other parts of Campania.
Your driver and pickup plan can be coordinated in advance so that your transportation works with the event rather than against it.
Flexible transportation
For guests staying several days, having transportation available for more than a single transfer can make the entire America’s Cup experience significantly easier.
A private driver in Naples can be arranged for airport transfers, race days, restaurants, sightseeing, evening transportation and excursions outside the city.
This is especially useful for families, private groups and travelers staying in accommodations away from the main event areas.
Instead of booking a different transportation solution every time you leave the hotel, your travel schedule can be coordinated as one itinerary.
Between race days
The America’s Cup may bring you to Naples, but the city deserves time of its own.
When you are not watching the racing, a private Naples tour can introduce you to one of Europe’s most historically layered and distinctive cities.
Depending on your available time and interests, experiences can focus on:
A Naples tour can be planned as a dedicated experience or incorporated into an arrival, departure or free day.
Professional interpretation
A private driver and a licensed tourist guide perform different roles.
Your driver manages transportation and logistics. A licensed tourist guide provides historical, archaeological and cultural interpretation where professional guiding adds depth to the experience.
Licensed guides can be incorporated into selected Naples tours and archaeological experiences, particularly for visitors who want more than independent sightseeing.
During a high-demand international event such as America’s Cup 2027, advance reservations for private guides are strongly recommended.
Archaeology and history
If this is your first visit to Campania, Pompeii is one of the easiest major destinations to combine with an America’s Cup stay in Naples.
We can arrange private transportation from your hotel together with a licensed guide for Pompeii, allowing you to explore the archaeological site with professional historical interpretation before returning to Naples.
Depending on your schedule, Pompeii can be planned as a dedicated half-day or incorporated into a longer private experience.
Possible combinations can include:
When the races occupy only part of your trip, Pompeii is one of the most rewarding ways to use an additional day in Campania.
Southern Italy
The America’s Cup provides an excellent reason to turn Naples into the starting point for a wider journey through Southern Italy.
Our private Amalfi Coast tours can take you from Naples to some of the coastline’s most celebrated destinations without requiring you to rent a car or manage public transportation.
Popular itineraries can include:
A dedicated full day is generally the best option when you want to experience the coast without treating every town as a quick photo stop.
The next stage of your journey
Sorrento can work as a day-trip destination from Naples or as the next stage of your Italian vacation after the America’s Cup.
We can organize private transportation between Naples and Sorrento, including airport, station and hotel transfers.
If you are changing hotels, the journey can also become part of the vacation by incorporating Pompeii or another carefully selected stop along the way.
Land and sea
After watching some of the world’s most advanced racing yachts in the Bay of Naples, spending another day on the water offers a very different way to experience the region.
A Capri tour from Naples can introduce you to the island’s cliffs, sea caves, Faraglioni, Capri Town and Anacapri.
Depending on the selected experience, the day can focus on:
Capri is particularly suitable for guests adding one or two leisure days after the main racing program.
Other islands in the bay
Capri is not the only island in the Bay of Naples.
Visitors who have already experienced Capri or prefer something different can consider Ischia or Procida as part of a longer Naples itinerary.
These islands offer a different pace and character and can be integrated into your stay according to ferry schedules, private transportation and the amount of time available between America’s Cup activities.
West of Naples
Guests attending the America’s Cup will already be close to one of Campania’s most fascinating and under-visited areas: the Phlegraean Fields.
The Campi Flegrei extend west of Naples toward Pozzuoli, Bacoli, Baia and Cuma, combining Roman archaeology, volcanic landscapes, mythology and coastal scenery.
Private guided experiences can include combinations of sites such as:
Selected itineraries can also include panoramic drives and authentic local food experiences in the Bacoli area.
For travelers staying around Bagnoli or western Naples, the Campi Flegrei are a particularly logical addition to the trip.
Experience the bay from the water
For travelers who want to experience the Bay of Naples from the water, Enchanting Italy Tours can assist with private yacht charter arrangements tailored to couples, families and private groups.
A yacht charter can be used for a leisure day around the Bay, Capri and the surrounding coastline, or potentially for event-related viewing where permitted.
Watching America’s Cup racing from the water is subject to official spectator-zone regulations, maritime restrictions, vessel registration requirements and safety instructions in force on the selected race day.
For that reason, no private charter should promise unrestricted access to the racecourse.
Where official regulations allow it, we can coordinate the charter around the designated spectator areas and the operating requirements established for the event.
Your yacht charter does not need to revolve entirely around the racing.
Possible experiences can include:
Cruise passengers
If your cruise itinerary brings you to Naples or Salerno during America’s Cup season, your time on land can be planned around your ship schedule.
Private shore excursions from Naples can combine port pickup with destinations including:
The itinerary is structured backward from the required return-to-ship time, giving the day’s logistics the same priority as the sightseeing itself.
Private travel coordination
America’s Cup attracts more than individual sailing fans.
Families, groups of friends, corporate guests, yacht owners and private hospitality groups may require significantly more transportation coordination than a standard visitor.
We can organize private vehicles according to passenger count and itinerary requirements, including individual transfers or coordinated transportation over multiple days.
Services can include:
For larger private groups, planning transportation as a complete program is significantly more efficient than arranging each movement separately.
Event and vacation
You do not have to choose between attending the races and seeing Italy.
The most efficient approach is often to design the sightseeing around the race days from the beginning.
These are examples rather than fixed packages. Your itinerary can be designed around the race days you want to attend and the destinations that matter most to you.
Accommodation and access
Your transportation strategy depends largely on where you are staying.
These areas provide convenient access to the waterfront but are also likely to experience increased traffic and pedestrian activity around event days.
Mergellina places you close to the seafront and may be attractive for visitors focused heavily on America’s Cup activities.
Bagnoli will be an important America’s Cup location because the team bases and fan facilities are planned in this western waterfront district.
It is also conveniently positioned for private excursions into the Campi Flegrei.
Guests based in Sorrento, the Amalfi Coast or elsewhere in Campania should plan race-day transportation carefully. The normal driving time to Naples may not reflect actual conditions during the event.
One coordinated journey
The objective is not simply to provide a car or sell another day tour. It is to make your time in Naples easier to use well.
Planning ahead
A major international event creates unusual demand for the services visitors normally leave until the last minute.
Private vehicles, licensed guides, preferred yacht charters and the most requested day-trip dates are finite.
If you already know your hotel dates or which races you intend to attend, we recommend beginning your transportation and tour planning in advance.
You do not need to have every detail finalized. We can begin with your arrival, departure, number of travelers and America’s Cup dates, then build the sightseeing around them.
